Who we are

Dry Run ("we", "us") provides an app for practising conversations. Contact: hello@aidryrun.com.

What we collect and why

• Practice content — the messages you type (and, where voice is available, speech you record) during a practice session. Each message is sent to our processing server and our AI provider (OpenAI) solely to generate the in-character replies and your coaching feedback; we do not log or retain your conversation transcripts on our servers beyond the moment of processing, and this content is not used to train AI models. Your practice conversations are saved locally on your device so you can review them — they are never uploaded to our servers, and you can delete any session (or all of them) at any time from the app.
• Progress data — your practice streak, session count, the focus areas you're working on, and your saved practice sessions (each session's transcript and coaching summary). All of this is stored locally on your device. We don't store it on our servers; only the short focus phrases are included in the prompt sent to our AI provider to tailor your practice.
• Microphone / audio (if you use voice features) — used only to transcribe what you say so the practice can continue. Audio recordings are not stored; only the resulting text is processed and then discarded.
• Purchases — subscriptions and one-time purchases are processed by Apple. We use a subscription-management provider (RevenueCat) to know your entitlement status. We never receive your card details.
• Basic diagnostics — anonymous app performance/crash data, if enabled, to keep the app working.

What we do NOT do

We do not sell your data. We do not show ads. We do not use your practice content for advertising or to train models. We do not store your audio.

Third parties

We share the minimum necessary with: OpenAI (to generate responses, via our server), Apple (payments), and RevenueCat (subscription status). Each processes data under its own terms.

Your choices

Most of your data lives on your device — deleting the app removes it. For anything held on our side, email hello@aidryrun.com to request access or deletion.

Children

Dry Run is not directed at children under 13 and is intended for adults.

Changes

We may update this policy; we'll change the date above and, for material changes, notify you in-app.

This is a good-faith starter policy describing how the app currently works. Have a qualified solicitor review it before public launch, especially if you add accounts, cloud sync, or analytics.
